It was a year ago this weekend that Kristan completed the Rock & Roll Half Marathon in Arizona. She was originally coming out to support me in doing my first full marathon, but she soon found herself at the starting line for her first Half-Marathon. When my sister-in-law couldn't run due to an injury, Kristan filled in like a champ.She wasn't crazy about running and had not trained at all for this unexpected event.
Kristan and my brother used her unique "Walk/Jog" technique to bring her across the finish line in just over three hours. Afterwards we went to the famous Tee Pee Mexican Restaurant where we just by chance recieved a free lunch. When it was all over, this beauty slept like a baby.
This is another example of how adventurous and electrifying this beautiful woman was.
When she saw the opportunity to do something extraordinary, she never passed it up. This is something we can all use a little more of in our lives, a chance to break out of the ordinary and do something amazing.
